Capacity Building

Our Approach

Building Capacity for Excellence

Our capacity building pillar strengthens the competencies of health professionals through pre-service and in-service education — equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and tools to lead quality improvement in their own facilities without ongoing external dependency.

We deliver structured, evidence-based training that combines theoretical learning with practical application, ensuring participants can immediately apply what they learn to improve patient care.

From frontline staff to senior leadership, our programmes create a shared language for quality improvement and a culture of continuous learning across the health system.

Peer-to-Peer Learning

Mentorship with Centres of Excellence

Our mentorship programme pairs healthcare facilities with designated Centres of Excellence (COEs) — facilities that have demonstrated sustained success in quality improvement and are recognised with a 3-star award.

Through regular site visits, virtual coaching sessions, and collaborative problem-solving, COEs provide ongoing support to mentee facilities as they implement and sustain quality improvement initiatives.

This peer-to-peer approach creates a self-reinforcing network of excellence — where high-performing facilities lift others, and knowledge flows across the entire health system.
